Reviewing your results
Five ways to look at what the scan found.
The Group them by control above the results switches between views. Each answers a different question.
Duplicates
The default. One card per set of copies, newest sets first. This is the only view where Deduplo suggests anything for removal.
Singles
Files with no duplicate anywhere in the scan — single copies. Auto-select and Auto-pick in every set never touch them. Useful for answering "what is actually one-of-a-kind here?" before you reorganise a library.
Ruled out
Appears when the deep re-check has rejected some matches. These looked like duplicates and turned out not to be. A long list here is a signal that your match strength is too loose for this library.
Related photos
Five groupings that are not duplicates — they are photos that belong together. Deduplo never marks anything in these for deletion.

A burst of twelve frames is twelve different pictures. Deduplo groups them so you can pick your favourite by hand — it will never tick eleven of them for you.
Comparing two files
Select two photos in a set and press Compare for a side-by-side view, or Pixel diff to see exactly where they differ. On a set of near-identical photos this is usually the fastest way to decide which one to keep.
Sorting, filtering and notes
- Sort by — order sets by size, count or date
- Smallest file — hide small files entirely
- Add / edit note — leave yourself a comment on a set; notes are saved with your results
- Mark as reviewed — tick off sets you have already dealt with
